FAQ
HOW LONG HAVE YOUR BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER? This is my 10th year in the business and I’m happy to share that I’ve shot sessions in Europe, Canada, Australia, USA, and the Pacific Islands during this time.
WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU SHOOT WITH? I shoot with all Canon gear. Canon’s Mirrorless R6 and an R6 II, 85mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, & a 24-70mm lens, and a drone!!! Additional speed lights and off-camera flashes are used if needed.
HOW WILL YOU EDIT OUR PHOTOS? I would describe my style as natural and true to life, focusing on capturing those special candid moments. My editing process involves image by image editing. I use tools like Lightroom and Photoshop to get a consistent look in every photo. I’m a nerd for skin tones as well. While I will of course take care of unwanted blemishes or any other distractions in the images, I do not include extensive retouching. My goal is an elegantly honest documentation of your memories.
HOW DO YOU PROVIDE THE PHOTOS? I provide all images through a digital downloadable photo gallery.
HOW DO I SECURE A SESSION WITH YOU? A retainer along with a signed contract is required to book a session.
WILL YOU HELP ME WITH POSING? Yes!! I am very hands on and will never expect you to show up knowing how to model. For the most part, I’ll give you cues that lead to the kind of photos you dream about.
CAN YOU HELP ME PLAN OUR OUTFITS? I have a full family style guide upon booking which will help you get the most out of your photos. It will help you select the right colors and patterns that photograph best.
WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME? Family session photos will be delivered 2-3 weeks after session date, including 3 sneak peek within 24-48 hours of your session.
DO WE EARN RIGHTS TO OUR DIGITAL FILES? I provide a print release form, but kindly ask you not to change/edit the photos I provide.
CAN I HAVE/SEE THE UNEDITED RAW PHOTOS? Sorry, NO. But don’t worry, the absolute best images are delivered in your gallery for you to cherish.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? I am based in Kansas City, Missouri
HOW LONG IS OUR COVERAGE? Lifestyle family sessions and portraits coverage ranges from 30 min-2 hrs, depending on the package you choose.
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS? Once we have ensured that I am available for your date and we've discussed your needs, I will send a digital file that includes your invoice, contract and payment options. Once your contract is signed, a 30% retainer is due to secure your date. The remaining balance is due on session date.
