As the big day started, dark clouds loomed in the sky, and the sound of thunder echoed in the air. The weather forecast was not promising, and many couples might have been disheartened. But for Daniel and Isa, it was an opportunity to embrace the unpredictable and make it uniquely theirs.

Although rain poured relentlessly outside, Casa de Mar Beach House was filled with laughter as Isa and her bridesmaids were getting ready. They shared heartfelt stories and helped each other into their elegant gowns. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed morning at the Champagne Villa. Later in the day, Tamanu Beach, in Efate Vanuatu provided the perfect backdrop for the couple's sacred vows. When the ceremony finished, the newlyweds embarked on a journey to capture their love through photographs. The weather, though still overcast, lent a mystical quality to the scenery. The couple's portraits were taken amidst the captivating beauty of an abandoned resort, La Plage du Pacifique. Below, you can see their wedding day story through photographs.

About a year ago, I had the joy of photographing Tatum and Brett’s beautiful beach wedding. Unfortunately, on their wedding day, we didn’t get a chance to do drone shots and underwater photos due to rain. So when I asked them if they wanted to go to the breath-taking Aore Island Resort and “drown the gown” as well as take some drone shots, they were super excited! We were able to capture some beautiful sunny shots, just before the rain started to pour… speak of good timing! Thank you Tatum and Brett for being such troopers and agreeing to my crazy ideas :D

Sometimes in life, you meet people so fearless that it catches you off guard. In the moment, you think, If more people would be like them, the world would be much more interesting. That’s how I felt the day I shot this beautiful couple’s wedding. What bride makes her own bouquet and bakes her own wedding cake on her wedding day?
